some of you might remember the story about how i lost my snowboard last winter. if you dont, ask my sister, she tells a pretty good version. im not hugely into hiking but the idea behind this trip was to look for my board once more (or at least confirm its disappearance).

to utter surprise this is exactly where and how i found my board! if you look at the summer picture of the cliff and you see the two snowpatches just below the rocks. it was in a small valley just between those two snowy spots.

yes, i was happy i find my board again and as you can see its in quite good shape. me thinks ill be using it again this winter =)

the fountain we were sitting on had 4ºC well water and somebody left a couple beers floating in there. my mom was an advocate of replacing the beers with a couple euros =P

neumarkt

i went to visit my cousin stephan and his family in neumarkt near salzburg. you might remember florian (flo, pronounced floh, which incidentally also means flea in german, =)) and julia (pronounced you-lia) from my aunts wedding pictures. both of them like taking pictures so almost all of these are taken by one of them. it's too bad i cant post videos because julia had just as much fun making videos as taking pictures. its always a ton of fun to visit cause the kids never get tired and seem to confuse anybody over 5 feet tall with a jungle gym.

the met again

i went back to the met the same day i finished my last final. it was a really nice day so i walked down there through central park and back up through the upper west.
