rainbow over the road. the road to monteverde requires a 4wd. in includes about 30km over somewhat bone jarring, unpaved road. while you can see the clouds here clearly, for almost half the drive it was blue sky raining.

sunset. on a clear day you can see the pacific and the atlantic. the body of water in the distance is the bay of nicoya, which is part of the pacific.

there is almost more biomass growing on the tree than there is tree itself.








canopy tours are famous in costa rica. they are essentially zip lines from tree to tree.
