tejas baby!

i visited sabine in houston from feb 24-26th and we had a fantastic time. houston is e-fricken-normous and the texas medical center is like a city unto itself. the food is great and the people are friendly. "rodeo" (not the rodeo, but just rodeo) was opening the weekend i got down there, and it starts with the world championship bbq cook off. if you have a ticket to a tent (you hafta know somebody, but its not that hard) then you can enter one of these tents and have all you can eat bbq and beer. very texan. also, remember that scene in animal house where they all dance to shout? well if you dont go here; the point is that i went with my sister and a bunch of her friends to a jazz & blues club in houston called sam's, and they did a live version of that song. it might have been the best live performance i have ever seen. no exaggeration.

texans take the state and the alma mater very seriously. in texas youre either an aggie (texas a&m) or a longhorn (univ of texas, ut).

of course
