fireworks

after my sister and i built our snowman he became star in the his own fireworks show. the first 4 pictures are all 15 second exposures.























the next two are 15 second exposures of the little chain firecrackers going off all over the place.

the slopes

we got almost 6 feet of snow before christmas. these fantastic picture were also all taken by my sister.





































you can snowboard right off the porch over the farmer's fields down to the lift on the next mountain. i took this about half way down.

rodeln

there is a rodelbahn (sled track) at the jufen alm on the other side of the mountain we live on. its a 2.6km track that's lit at night too. we got a ride back up in the shovel of the farmer's tractor.








in the shovel. there were a couple of australians we met too.
by "we" i mean my sister met andrew and kenneth on the train who happened to be staying with their fam like 10min away from where we were staying. thats andrew nearest the camera (read comment below)
